Mark’s career at Microsoft is marked by his forward-thinking initiatives and leadership. He was instrumental in driving contractor Compass Group to develop from-scratch cooking in Microsoft cafes, significantly enhancing the quality and variety of food offerings. Also under his guidance, the company’s catering arm flourished into a multi-million dollar business

His leadership transformed Microsoft’s nearly three-square-mile headquarters in Redmond, Washington, into a small city bustling with diverse foodservice outlets.
At Ford Motor Company
After his impactful 13-year tenure at Microsoft, Mark took on the role of Global Strategic Foodservice Manager at Ford Motor Company. Here, he was responsible for feeding 80,000 employees daily, a testament to his ability to manage large-scale operations. Mark’s commitment to sustainability, food quality, and technological integration continued to thrive at Ford, where he furthered the “Ingredient Revolution” by advocating for local, GMO- and chemical-free food, and introduced from-scratch cooking in Ford’s cafeterias

Mark then joined LinkedIn as the Head of Global Food, where he managed 31 cafeterias across the company’s global offices, including locations in Sunnyvale, Singapore, Dublin, Milan, and Tokyo. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, Mark’s dedication to innovation didn’t wane. He focused on introducing more authentic global cuisine and emphasized plant-based foods. His approach to listening and gathering feedback, much like he did at Microsoft, allowed him to stay attuned to the evolving preferences of a young, tech-savvy workforce.

Most recently Mark joined the industry leading consulting firm as the Senior Vice President of Growth. His vast knowledge and expertise will support clients worldwide while continuing to assist in building a growth company for the future.
